So from what I know the spinal cord allows the person to act quickly without the information going to the brain. But how does the spinal cord know the phone is falling? Doesn’t the brain have to interpret the visual information first? I mean, I guess the hand can know the phone is no longer securely held, but to coordinate a catch the eyes have to be involved somehow.
