Is Fox News really all that bad?

OMG! Fox is aghast that their own polls show that a majority of Americans are in favor of taxing the wealthy. And it’s all because fairness is being promoted in our schools!

You really should watch the embedded video:

Yes! The early indoctrination was carried out under the guidance of Comrade Big Bird, who received the Order of Lennon for his work! I remember well, hearing how the running dog jackals of the ruling class got all bent out of shape with all this “sharing is good!” dogma! Polluting the minds of our consumers in training! We gloat!

I think Fox News is gonna have to run with this now and just be blatant about who they are attempting to influence. I look forward to future Fox news banners and stories that will surely include gems like

**The Terror of Equal Treatment

Does America Really Need a Department of Justice?**

and, of course,

What’s Wrong With Winning? Why the Left Hates You and America

Let’s face it though: sentiments like that are popular in American culture; you’re just not supposed to phrase them that way.

Plenty of people here on the Dope that argue against safety nets: there has to be losers.

They’ll probably also want to change their tagline from “Fair & Balanced” to “Fairness is Intolerable”

The “fair” in Fair and Balanced is a reference to skin tone.

Fox News host Pete Hegseth explained on Sunday that he doesn’t wash his hands because “germs are not a real thing.”

Like climate change, the germ theory of disease is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese and Al Gore. Or maybe Big Pharma. Or the Jews. One of those, probably.

I cannot see oxygen, so I decided to stop breathing.

It shows just how terrible FOX news and its presenters are that I cannot tell if he was joking.

I wonder what his thoughts are on God, if he doesn’t believe in things he can’t see.

God doesn’t believe he exists, either. A metaphysical standoff. DesCartes’ cat.

I was just about to start a Pit thread about this. Just ew. I suppose he has someone else to wipe his arse.

Maybe it’s because I eat food and stuff, but sometimes my hands are just fucking dirty, so I’d still need to wash them even if I didn’t believe in germs.

Taken out of context. Read the article. He was joking. Not that he isn’t a jerk in other ways.

The BBC article I read had no such connotation. I’m glad to hear he was joking.

Dutch historian Rutger Bregman tweeted on Monday night that Carlson called him a “fucking moron” during an interview for his Fox News show before fully melting down. He also posted what appears to be an email, perhaps sent through an assistant, that quotes Carlson calling him “far dumber, more dogmatic and less impressive” than expected.

“Also, for what it’s worth, you’re an asshole,” the message Bregman posted reads.

The interview never ran. Bregman claims that he recorded the interview himself. Here’s hoping he decides to make it public.

From that story: Carlson’s producer responded:

Assuming Bregman is telling the truth, the producer seems to have misspelled “host”.
