I was thinking the same thing. Also, I am sure glad that I don’t work in that department. I’m sure the death threats are falling like rain.
Granting that my sample size is very small, I have observed that as well. ISTR one occasion where a link went outside their site, but that seemed to have been anomalous.
We don’t need to do that anymore since we added microchips to the horse dewormer.
You forgot how they swell your testicles to enormous sizes.
Can I also get a shout out to the most misleading graphic I’ve seen in a long time. Its on their main page without a clickable link so I had to make a screen capture
The map itself is a more or less accurate representation from the the AAA website Note that although the URL is listed in the graphic its not clickable (after all we wouldn’t want people to leave Fox.)
However the scale bar while possibly technically correct if you squint real hard is so misleading as to be absolutely laughable. 90% of the bar is filled with dark red at a value of $6.172 note that no state has an average price that is remotely close to that value. The highest value on the AAA website is $5.66. The tiny pink bar is labeled as $4.178 which is the highest value a stat if that that color ever takes, and there is no room for any of the other colors that make up the majority of the states.
My guess as to how this came about is that they first put up this graphic at the height of high gas prices. At which point prices varies from around $4.00-$6.172. As prices started to decline, they kept the same color levels as on the AAA site so that you could still see that the west coast was high while the south was low (see its all the Democrats fault), and they didn’t change the range at the top (so that the average person would still think that California has $6.17 gas, but just changed the color of the scale bar to match the cutoffs. And of course obviously labeling each bar with its absolute maximum.
there is an aphorism of sorts that speaks about lies, damn lies, and a third thing
After years of arguing that Twitter is a public forum, Fox News is now certain that Twitter is a private platform owned by a business.
Well, as you know, we were always at war with Eurasia.
Sean Hannity told Vivek Ramaswarmy, “I think people who never held public office, like you, maybe they’re not qualified to be president!”
Hahaha! Headline should be “Hannity says that Trump wasn’t qualified to be president!”
Are ytu sure you spelled “Ramasmarmy” right?
And, according to the constitution Tan the Conman wanted chucked out, he’s not eligible now.
Because he attacked the US or because, in his mind, he already won two elections? I’ll take either.
This.
There was a thing happened in the large city on the island, so I took a look at the “news” site,
and ended up less informed than before I went there.
A House report comes out detailing Trump’s businesses receiving millions of dollars from foreign countries while he was president and it is front page material of all news websites. Fox News? crickets
Meanwhile, did you hear about the $1000 check that Biden received from a relative when he wasn’t president? Pass me my smelling salts and get me to my fainting couch!
I checked, and it’s on there, albeit with a “House Democrats accuse Trump of raking in $7.8 million in foreign payments while president” headline.
It is there now…it wasn’t when I posted. Of course, it is news item #28 down the page, only counting their “main” stories. So, they are burying it.
