Is Fox News really all that bad?

“Ailes was the Christopher Columbus of hate.” - Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone.

“Fox News Fires ‘The Five’ Co-Host Bob Beckel Over Racist Comment”

Man, after tossing out the misogynists they’re going to kick the racists too ? Who’s gonna be left to lie through their teeth ?!

‘The Four’, obviously.

Maybe Ken Lacourt is on to something.

one can only hope.

Fox news has posted a retraction on their website of their coverage of the Seth Rich story that he was killed by the Clintons/DNC. Although the retraction is pretty mealy mouthed. Plus, will Hannity stop his incessant conspiracy theorizing?

It served its purpose as a distraction from the Trump scandal of the day.

Fox knew exactly what they were doing. No mistake there. Scum of the earth, every one of them.

Sean Hannity is a coward. He’s not apologizing for running with a conspiracy theory. But. he’s going to cease discussing it out of respect for the family. Anyone who believes this explanation likely already watches Foxnews.

Fox is currently in a slump, thanks largely to one man:

Ironically, people tend to tune in to watch negative stories and enjoy recreational outrage. Now that the Republicans hold the White House, MSNBC are thriving and FoxNews’ apologetics are driving viewers away. If and when the Democrats gain the ascendant, FoxNews can expect to see the pendulum swing back to them.

Or I suppose they could try attacking Trump more (as indeed they have been) and see how that goes.

Hannity is on vacation, as advertisers start pulling their money. Seems familiar…

Fox & Friends celebrates the assault on the reporter in Montana, even though the local Fox reporters stood up for him.

Not even a local Fox reporter, but an actual Fox News reporter who has put out a story detailing her very close eye-witness account to the assault.

Well, I meant local as in on-the-scene.

Yes.

Read the comments, the viewers and conservatives are worse.

ps, Gianforte the slammer is going to win. I think it might have boosted his chances.

So the *Fox and Friends * talking heads think that physical violence is an appropriate and justified response to reporters looking to do negatively-biased stories on candidates. That’s good to know.

In other news, Hillary Clinton was later seen heading to the FoxNews studios carrying a baseball bat.

Tucker Carlson had a surprising take on this story.
It began with a sentence describing the assault and saying it was wrong, and then 40+ minutes of talking about how the “violent left” is way, way worse.

The surprising thing about his take of course being that he bothered with that opening sentence. A FOX viewer might actually be aware of a thing that happened in the world.

that’s scary - is there no chance he will be in jail instead?

The sheriff is one of his campaign contributors. You decide.

If only…

In fairness, the sheriff did charge him, and doesn’t have much say in what goes on after that. But for a first-offense misdemeanor assault he’s probably looking at probation at the absolute worst.
