IS GOD ALMIGHTY?

Is this a question of logic or of faith? For myself, logic bores me, but faith fascinates me. Like, I hate figuring out puzzles but love solving mysteries.

Logic demands proof by process. Faith demands belief without proof.

“Traditional”, that is, dogmatic faith in God presupposes His almighty nature. God is whatever, whenever, wherever He wants to be, including what He may or not be doing with big ole rocks. So logic is not going to work here, in my opinion, because it doesn’t apply. Faith, on the other hand, has already answered the question for me.

Ah, haven’t heard this one for a while. Basically it’s just a rewording of the conundrum over an immovable object meeting unstoppable force.

As for an answer, I can’t even remember which philosopher first observed that the only thing an omnipotent force could not create was limits on its own ability. It’s no more a contradiction than the idea of being able to add one to infinity.

There are nonstandard mathematical systems in which you can add 1 to infinity.
