Not happening, go wash yourself. So why is someone thinking life is slavery ? Within reason we all march to our own drummer, not that of a master.
I remember hearing someone pining over being trapped in a single moving moment of time like a fly in amber. It’s an artistic image, but I hope they got over it.
The OP seems to be defining slavery as having to do somethings you don’t want to do or suffer consequences. If so, then yes it is inevitable. Even in your pre-civilized paradise you were still a slave to your stomach. You might want to lie around all day having sex with the bonobo next door, but eventually you are going to have to get up and find something to eat.
Real slavery is more of a situation of never being able to do what you want without. A very different situation.
Sorry this is BS. Most people don’t wallow around with feelings of existential angst. Most people find things in their life to enjoy, Even in Syria probably the most hellish place on earth right now. people have been known to smile, laugh at a joke, find joy in a loaf of bread, or a night with their loved one. Yes, most of the world doesn’t have a first world life style, and they have harder lives than we do, but saying that they therefor have nothing to look forward to but despair is selling their lives short.
Not trying to put you down, but, if this is the way you feel constantly, then you might want to have yourself checked out for possible clinical depression.
The difference between an actual slave and a free citizen is just a matter of degrees. But I think most people would glady choose to be a free citizen all the same. Turns out those degrees of difference matter a whole lot.
Yes, it is true that no one is truly free. We’re all just puppets on a string. But you just sink into the abysss of nothingness by thinking about this too much. To get through this game called life, you have two choices: Try to live life like you’re free. You may be a fool, but who cares? At least you have a sense of agency. Or sit back and try to enjoy the puppet show as much as you can, despite all the pain and sorrow.
The latter is what I’m doing at the moment.
