The unholy spawn of a Nixon and Kevin Spacey mating? The CNN pic of him made me say, “Damn! He looks like that sonuvabitch Nixon!” I’ve seen photos of Nixon wearing a similar expression, but the closest I could find is the one of him and Elvis. This basically shot my idea for a “Seperated at Birth?” thread, then I realized that Huckabee had a chin similar to Kevin Spacey’s and that’s when I began to wonder: Is Huckabee the result of some kind of bizarre breeding experiment involving Nixon and Spacey that somehow managed to escape from the lab?
I think he looks - and usually acts - exactly like Gomer Pyle on “The Andy Griffith Show,” played by Jim Nabors. The difference is that Jim Nabors was quite civilized and intelligent in real life.
I don’t see the Nixon resemblance. I have to confess, when I see Huck, I just wanna smack him. It’s irrational, to be sure, but it’s my gut reaction.
Definitely more Jim Nabors than Nixon–Nixon had irregular facial features, IOW, he was ugly as sin. Huckabee has more regular features, but there is something about those puppy brown eyes that make want to smack him. He’s playing the Good Ole Boy a bit too much for me.
To me, he looks like Robert Lindsay.
I can see the Spacey connection – but not the Nixon, except for the evil nature.

In comparison he now resembles a zombie.

Agreed. I’m still in shock at the idea of a candidate for president - or anyone really - who “doesn’t believe in” evolution. What are they not going to believe in next? Gravity?
Two of my coworkers have been arguing about the Kevin Spacey similarity. I don’t see it, but one of them taped up a picture of Spacey in her cubicle, declaring victory.
