Is it possible to have unwanted phone sex?

A friend who lives in a very upscale neighborhood of Pittsburgh came home from work to find gang type graffiti spray painted on his house. He was shocked, and called the police. The police took pictures and interviewed neighbors. Nobody saw anything.

When the police questioned his 12 year old son, asking if he heard or saw anything, the kid broke down crying. He had done it. I do not know why he did it or what follow up occurred, other than the kid was in therapy because of his parents divorce.

My take is that they can’t imagine a relationship between a woman and a man that isn’t sexual. A sexual relationship between an unmarried woman and an unmarried man, however, they think is acceptable (if only because they might eventually marry); therefore, an unmarried woman may talk to and/or hang out with an unmarried man. However, they think no woman should talk to/hang out with a man who’s married to somebody else, at least without a chaperone present, because they assume that sex has to be involved somehow any time there are adults of different genders.

Yeah, but there’s even more to unwrap. Because somehow it’s her responsibility to protect his marriage. It’s her fault if he cheats. It’s even her fault if he makes unexpected and unwanted sexual advances. Because???

Because men aren’t supposed to be able to control themselves, so women should be clustered to protect men from themselves, i guess.

It’s an incredibly depressing and gross view of human relationships.

Cloistered?

I agree.

It’s also an incredibly depressing and gross view of men (as well as of women.) I’ve thought for years, ever since hearing women who sneered at feminism gossip in a vineyard, that if men want genuine respect from women they’re only going to get it from feminists.

Yup.
