is it too late for me to register to vote?

I just realized that I’ve never registered to vote. Is it too late for me to register in order to vote in the upcoming presidential election?

Here’s a site where you can print a copy of the form you need to fill out and mail in. The instructions in the .pdf file say that for the Distric of Columbia, registrations are take through 30 days prior to the election. So, you have plenty of time.

It may differ somewhat from state to state (or District), but I think most places allow you to vote if you registered at least 30 days before the election. So, if you register now, you’re most likely in good shape.

Please, for the sake of Democracy and the American Way, do register. I don’t have any idea if your political thoughts are anything like mine, so I could be assisting the opposition by urging you to take up the franchise. However, I know a Doper will be an informed voter (at least, more informed than too many of the general population), and the country needs as many of those as we can get.

Trust me, I’ll be voting against GW. Thanks for the info! In all the hubbub of life, I realized that I never registered! :smack:
