It’s never too early to miss President Bush.
Heck, I was all set to miss him when he was still president.
It’s never too early to miss President Bush.
Heck, I was all set to miss him when he was still president.
Did you reload?
The point is, I couldn’t actually miss him until he was gone.
You know, Trump may well have exposed his piddlestick. We need to get a magnifying glass and go back over the prints.
If trumpster fire could have owned slaves, I’m sure he would have.
THE BEST SLAVES.
I wonder if he’d gold leaf them too.
“Let me tell you about my slaves. My slaves love it here. They are the best slaves. I can hardly call them slaves, they love me and they love my wife, and speaking of my wife, she’s a hard worker too. She cooks, she cleans, she makes Mr. Clean look like Professor X. And speaking of Professor X…he’s kind of a slave master isn’t he? It’s not like those students have any other place to go. And they have to go to class or teach the classes. Do they get paid? That mansion looks expensive, I doubt they are paid. They’re slaves. But they arn’t the best slaves.”
The opening up of China might well have been the greatest accomplishment any President has had since World War II, inasmuch as it was a key part of avoiding World War III. Detente with China changed the world balance of power.
But people tend to remember their guests in terms of how they LEFT the festivities.
Trump, to W: “Hold my beer.”
Say what you want, after he left the office, Bush did the “Presidential” thing and (for the most part) stepped back and let Obama govern. He rarely armchair quarterbacked, showing respect for the office.
For the life of me, I don’t know how Obama is showing similar restraint. I know he’s made some comments at his various speaking engagements, but how he’s not shouting from the rooftops on a daily basis… it’s beyond me.
I shudder to think what Trump will be like, post-presidency. I think it’s either gonna be an “Old Man Yells At Cloud” situation where he’s mostly ignored, or he’ll still be hogging the media spotlight, well after sliding into obscurity, with respect to having authority.
No matter how he leaves office, I don’t think he’ll be alive much longer. That’s not me saying that someone will kill him. That’s me saying he does not seem mentally well, and the stress is going to kill him.
George W Bush is and always has been a decent man without a bigoted bone in his body. It’s no accident that he and his family have such a warm and friendly relationship with the Obamas and Clintons now. It’s impossible to imagine Trump ever making friends with any of them. Bush, his father, Clinton and Obama are all good people; their policies were opposed but none of those policies were inspired by hate or prejudice. Things are sadly changed.
He’s not a bigot, but neither is he a decent man. He had people tortured.
I don’t really think Bill Clinton is a good person. I get where you’re coming from, I thought the same of Jimmy Carter and Bernie Sanders. I think everyone else were talking about would if a house was on fire run in to save someone. Let’s say that’s the bar. I get more of a Costanza vibe from Bill
For the record, as a liberal, I want to say that I don’t miss Bush II. Why in the hell would I? That’s like wishing that instead of being in a cesspit, you were instead in a toilet. What’s wrong with wishing for a barcalounger?
I want Clinton. Sure he was probably pretty despicable in his personal life, but I don’t care what my mechanic does in his personal life; why should I care about it in my president? And he presidented well.
It’s crap, and to hell with W.
He was a god damn disaster. Just because Rrump is a piece of shit, that doesn’t exonerate W for the things he did.
Fuck the both of them.
Obama is at 63%
John Kerry? Uber-liberal? Kerry?
Can you name some of these uber-liberal policies of John Kerry for us?
You got to wonder what kind of president it would take, after Trump, to make people think, “Say you like about Trump, but at least he…”
“…didn’t sacrifice that many babies to a golden statue of himself.”
