So the cost of admission to a more educated set of people is a subscription fee. And anyone who pays that is free to post tripe as truth and be throughly disingenuous in their asinine arguments?

And you have to wonder, is humor, pity, or what the best response? Given the unflinching push of failed ideas, I’m beginning to lean toward humor, but dammit… I’d rather things change.

I have decided, after months of beating my head against the wall of **lekatt’s ** stupidity, just to ignore him. (By which I do not mean put him on my ignore list.) A couple of times I have hit ‘Reply to Post’, and then said, “No, I’m not going to go back into that hell,” like a recovering alcoholic might put a six-pack in his shopping cart and then put it back on the shelf. He’s too fucking stupid to argue with, so I just don’t reply to his asinine posts. I sometimes want to, but I realize that it won’t make any difference at all; it is a waste of time. So for example in the current GD debate on the self vs. the soul, where **lekatt ** is dropping his nuggets of shit all over the place, I have decided just to let it go.
I really wish everyone did this. Just totally ignored him. Responding to him hasn’t done anything.
In fact, I think in his own mind he’s a martyr for truth and loves provoking a reaction.
I think we’d have to hire a proctologist with spelunking experience to find out. Add me to the list of people whose eyes glaze over once he descends upon a thread.

Sure you can dig and find it but I think it’s rather bush-league to put it in a post.

I went to his site but didn’t see it - my mistake.
I still say we give 'im the Turing Test.

But I think you have to learn the hard way. You think, “Nobody can possibly really be that stupid and obstinate. I’ll point out the glaring inconsistencies and falsehoods in what he is saying, and he will have to make some concessions. Anyone with an IQ in the double digits would realize what he is saying is ultimately untenable.” And then you find out all your assumptions about how stupid you can be and still respirate are all thrown out the window.
But if everyone who knew he was full of shit did this, then in this message board he’d have an open field to propogate ignorance on! By our lack of rebuttal, we’d be endorsing him to everyone viewing the thread. And you gotta know there’s some people lurking out there that would take a lack of rebuttal that way.
So, I could only utterly ignore lekatt’s fecal spewage if each and every one of his posts was marked with a disclaimer like "This poster is batshit insane, and literally everything he posts is worthless informationally, informationally, and factually; a stopped clock is a better source of truth.
However, as I doubt he’s going to make that his signature, I’ll keep on rebutting him as I see fit. (Though only when I feel like it, and never to the point of frustration.)
Maybe he needs his own forum?

I don’t think it’s that he’s getting worse. More posters are confronting him more frequently and directly, showing how just how messed up his mind has always been.
