But it has the downside of being Corvallis.
I live in the DFW area. I took this picture yesterday. Then I grabbed the beer and hopped in the water to cool off. It was 92 degrees.
I’m surprised any lake / reservoir near DFW had enough water left to float anything bigger than a surfboard.
It’s been scary flying in and out of there watching them all contract and contract. I looked at buying house on one of those lakes a couple years ago. At that time the water which was “normally” lapping at the back yard was 100 yards away. Today it’s more like 1/4 mile.
92 in April? No thank you very much! Anything over 80 is too much for me.
I’ve been told that in the middle of summer, you can expect to see temperatures around 100. Plus high humidity.
Which is why I’m never moving to Texas.
Heh, in late summer, 110+ isn’t all that unusual. Plus, occasionally the sky decides it’s sick of your shit, and opens up and tries to kill you with a tornado.
But the winters are mild! Mild winters!
Not selling you on it, huh? S’ok, more for us, I guess.
