Is Mitch McConnell facing any backlash?

People like Trump and McConnell are willing to take Russian money; they’d take anyone’s money. But I don’t feel either of them is directly working for Russia. The Russians just feel it’s useful for their purposes to have corrupt and incompetent people leading the United States.

That said, I do feel that the Russians probably have an active agent in Trump’s inner circle. There have been too many occasions when Trump suddenly comes up with some plan that benefits the Russians. And I don’t feel Trump ever comes up with any ideas on his own; he just gets enamored with ideas he hears from other people. So logically when Trump does something that benefits Russia, it was whispered in his ear by somebody around him. I’m really curious about who the person is who suggests these pro-Russia ideas to Trump - and I’d like to have their financial records investigated.

Your brush is too broad. There are plenty of religionists who are not right-wing, but they separate religion from state. They can see how the right-wing has traded morality for power and want no part of it.

Evangelicals, like most people, are willing to put up with almost any flaws or immorality or lying from someone as long as that person is perceived as fighting for their side and for their causes. Conversely, they cannot tolerate even a little bit of immorality or deception if it’s from an opponent.

As for the “answer for their sins to a Greater Power” - what sins? Evangelicals believe evangelicals are fighting for what is good and right.

We weren’t arguing with him about predictions that Trump would break numerous laws and commit election fraud. I think everyone took that as a given all the way back in 2016. It was the wilder predictions - which haven’t come true - that we argued against.

Name a major religion that is in the majority of the population and is not cosy with the ruling apparatus of its government. The more authoritarian the government, the closer the relationship.

You have moved your goal posts:

From all religions to those that are major and who are part of a majority.

You have not answered the question. Name a religion that would not, if given the opportunity, ally itself with government if not attempt to take power for itself. I said major because relatively tiny religions like Zoroastrians or Scientology are not worth considering at the moment while major religions of the world have a very clear record of authoritarian inclinations historically and now.

So I repeat my original claim that when given the opportunity, religions only promote social democracy when they are in the minority, otherwise they will do their best to maximize their own principles and power over the population.

my hope is that all that are outraged by breonna taylor’s death, vote against mcconnell.

should i be a pac or on mcgrath’s team i would be pushing the message 24/7 that mcconnell has a reform bill he is blocking. push the message that he needs to get out of the way.

add in the supreme court, and start the “vote him” out chanting.
