I’ve been trying all day (12/24/12) to watch Netflix and it just bombs out every time. My internet connection is just fine - anyone else notice this?
We are also having issues here near Cincy. Downloads go to 99% (if we’re lucky) and then crap out.
I can’t get past 7%
We’re having issues here in Seattle too. I want access to everything, and I want it right now, goddamit!
I’ve watched a couple of things today and noticed slow loading times, one of them being stuck on 99% for what seemed like several minutes, but they eventually played.
Yeah, it’s spotty here, too - we were able to watch a documentary after several tries, and now it’s down again. Oh well - off to go visiting anyway. I have to say, we’re in the 30 day trial period, and this isn’t impressing me.
That article freaked me out.
We were just loading up Christmas Vacation and stunned that it wasn’t working. Bad timing for Netflix, but it’s fairly rare we have any trouble.
Netflix issued a statement on their facebook page apologizing for the service interruption.
On Twitter too.
I just finished watching a documentary with no problems.
It’s been down for me too, and I just started streaming a couple days ago (Amazon had a Roku for $40!).
I didn’t know until I googled “is Netflix down” that there are websites set up to answer these questions. downrightnow.com is one.
Is Netflix down often? If it is, I probably won’t subscribe.
I don’t think it’s down very often. I subscribed the 1st of September and this is the first time it’s been down for me for more than a few minutes.
I still can’t watch streaming Netflix on my Smart TV. <hmph>
i had a brief glitch, then happily firefly flew again.
Due to canceling cable and this not available on Hulu, I haven’t seen any of season 8 yet. But really? No.
I love this show, but no.
The only way for this shaggy dog timeline to work is if Ted meets the mother for a one night stand and the kids are twins whose mom dies in childbirth. Happy ending everyone!
Oops
All last night in northern Illinois, but oddly enough only on the TV. It seems to be working this morning. We had to huddle around the computer to watch Sherlock. I can’t figure out why it wouldn’t work on the TV but would on the computer.
Netflix just tweeted that it is back to normal.
Just in time for me to head out the door to visit with friends for the afternoon. But it’s good to know it will be available later. Just hope we don’t run into the same overload outage next weekend!
