Funny enough olive oil is a staple of the so-called Mediterranean diet. This study (just a case control so I’d say take it with a grain of salt but in this thread that might be distracting …) not only shows a correlation of familial high cholesterol, diabetes and heart disease with acne severity, but a protective effect of that high olive oil Mediterreanean diet, which is documented to improve insulin sensitivity.
So Pauly if you want to have a diet thatmight help with acne eat lots of fruits, vegetables, unrefined grains, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds, moderate fish and chicken, maybe a little meat and yes, lots of oilive oil.
