Is Palm discontinuing its non-wireless handhelds?

I’d like a simple PDA, but don’t need the cell-phone versions, like Palm’s Treos, nor do I want internet on it - just the basic (or should I say primitive?) PDA.

I notice that the Zire 31 is listed on their main page as “temporarily out of stock.”

Are they winding down the non-wireless lines and going to wireless and cellphone models only?

No, to the best of my knowledge, they will continue to develop their PDA line.

Top of the line right now is the Palm LifeDrive.

My recommendation for value for money is the Palm Zire 72

I had a Zire 31 and had to take it back because it crashed a lot; I got a Tungsten E instead, which is great, I use it as a music player; but now it’s the E2 and $299 CDN. The still have Z22’s so they still have some interest in the stone tablet customers like us
