“Herman Cain, I choose you!” ![]()
Does that mean that we have to stuff him into a two-inch Pokeball first?
Sounds like an RPS story I *really *don’t want to read…
In the future, everyone will be the Republican frontrunner for fifteen minutes…
I don’t get who would actually pay money for his book…isn’t he basically a nobody? What wold he have to say that anyone would care about? ![]()
His campaign organization.
Cain is our protest vote right now. If you were a Republican, would you be happy with any of these clowns?
Unfortunately we have Gingrich who is intelligent and qualified to be president but he has way too much baggage and is a pompous ass. Although I love the zings he gets in on the media.
Then we have the God fearing Perry who apparently can’t string two sentences together in a debate setting.
Romney-- Gah, this guy would maybe make a decent president but he inspires nobody. He won’t be getting compared to Reagan or Obama in the charisma department anytime soon.
And the rest don’t count so at the moment us Republicans are very sad Pandas.
Has anyone considered getting Cain a visit from Sexual Harassment Panda?
Resurrecting this since it’s also about Cain, rather than a candidate with a chance.
Okay, so now Cain seems to be acting like he thinks Colbert actually supports him. On the 1/25/12 edition of the Colbert Report, there is a clip of him saying that Colbert’s support is good for the youth vote.
Now, he’s avoided Colbert in the past, so it’s clear he realizes it is satire. So he’s got to trying to pull something over on the Tea Partiers, right? He can’t suddenly think that Colbert’s endorsement means anything other than he’s poking fun at him, can he?
Or do you think he actually thinks that people who support him as a joke candidate will support him as a real candidate later?
Colbert’s “endorsement” was the only way Colbert could get on the ballot in South Carolina. I had thought Cain showing up at the rally was part being a good sport and playing along with the joke and part being an attention hog. If he really thought it was an endorsement (and I agree it sounded that way) he is even stupider than I had thought. And that is some stupid.
I think your initial assessment is probably accurate. At this point Cain is just fucking with EVERYONE.
Isn’t that what caused him to drop out of the race?
Cain said the endorsement helps “keep the youth vote inspired.” Given the rest of what he said, I don’t think he was saying the endorsement will encourage young voters to vote for him, I think he was just saying it’s good that there are shows which will help “immature” voters (his word) stay civically engaged.
