Is scarless healing already here?

My friend claims it is here already, and he has the report to prove it? It is a very detailed report.

http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Scarless-Healing-t157005.html

Its in the PDF file in the first post.

Anyone or anything where I can show this PDF file to? Cause he claims that the technology is kinda like “suppressed” by some higher ups.

It seems like a scam to me. Is this a real friend or just someone you know on the internet? You need to be careful if it’s just someone on the internet. Many times people will say they “heard of this great product” but the person posting is really a salesman for the product or is somehow getting paid. They try to make it look like the product is really great but they’re just trying to scam you.

I can’t open your link, but I’d like to point out that virtually scarless surgery certainly is possible. I had plastic surgery on my face many years ago*, and at first I looked like Frankenstein’s monster. After several weeks of healing, however (and daily anointments with nothing more exotic than cocoa butter), I emerged virtually scarless. Even the doctor wasn’t sure which side had been operated on. (I’m not completely naive – I don’t think it was an act for my benefit.) It depends in large part on the skills of the surgeon.

*It didn’t help – I still look like me.

U cant access it? try clicking a few times. Anyway, is there a way to post the PDF file for you guys to look? I have it saved in my laptop. It’s definetly not a scam.

And because of that, I’m already inclined to skepticism. I can think of a few potential ways that scarring can be reduced (use lasers as scalpels for finer incisions; perform surgeries through existing orifices; possibly using stem cells to seamlessly regenerate skin tissue) but no reason why “higher ups” would seek to suppress them. If whatever technique this guy is proposing works, let him write it up in the medical journals. Other doctors will try it and if the results are replicable, the technique will spread regardless of the resistance of “higher ups”.

It’s entirely possible some ideas are resisted because they are stupid. Resistance alone proves nothing.

By who? The big wigs in the Nasty Scar Industry?

Well, the entire AMA is in the pocket of Big Scar, dont’cha know.

It definitely is. And I haven’t even clicked on your link.

Ok how bout this article by wired.com dated on march 25 2009.

quote:
scientists managed to turn human skin into the equivalent of a blastema — a mass of undifferentiated cells that can develop into new body parts.

I earlier thought I posted here because you guys are a bunch of intellectual people but I cant believe you weren’t even look at the evidence before concluding.

Claiming “they” are suppressing a cure/treatment/knowledge is a sure sign of a scam. If “they” are suppressing this, how did it get out? Who are “they” and why would they want the cure/drug/treatment suppressed?

Ok forget about the whole thing of “supressed technology”. Just look at the evidence itself. What do you guys think?

TWEEEEEET!!!

Time out.

To all the posters who read “scam” in the OP: note that nothing is (yet) being sold or otherwise pushed, so let’s not trip over ourselves in our haste to demonstrate our skepticicm.

To tealeavesgatherers, two points:

The overwhelming majority of claims for “suppressed” technology, knowledge, or anything else are, indeed, setups for scams, so throwing that out in this thread was like chumming for sharks on this forum

HOWEVER,

this is a debate forum and I don’t see anything to debate. If you simply want to speculate on how such technology might be used in the future or how soon we will actually see it employed, you might ask that this thread be closed while you open a new thread in the IMHO forum.

If you actually have a point you would like to debate, then put the argument here. What you have posted thus far does not really belong here.

Here’s an article about using lasers to close wounds with little to no scarring:

http://www.technologyreview.com/biomedicine/22088/

They test it by closing half the wound with the laser and the other half using regular stitches and comparing the results after it heals.

is there any scarless healing therapies out there??? if anyone knows please message me back

A biotech company in phase III testing of the compound dropped it because they felt it didn’t work well enough.

I’m wondering why it would be suppressed. Last year, I had surgery, and I have a scar. If I had had the option to pay extra to not have a scar, I would have done it. The scar will fade in time, and my health insurance won’t pay for optional cosmetic surgery, so I’m just going to live with the scar.

I really doubt that the evil scar removal industry will make millions by suppressing this.
