Yeah, I thought the same thing. About the actor, that is. But I never knew he was biracial until someone pointed it out.
Don Lemon, a liberal media voice, spoke to King’s family, who confirmed that King was not black. They also confirmed that King lied about the specifics regarding a racially-motivated attack he endured in high school. King, of course, said that white students beat him up because he was black. King’s family confirmed the opposite: King was beaten up by black students, because he was a white guy dating a black girl. Once again, this is all being reported by Don Lemon, a black, liberal media voice.
The significance of these revelations can not be lost on anyone. The blacklivesmatter movement, full of lies and deception, is meant to divert responsibility from the actions of African Americans committing crimes. If this phony movement cared at all about black lives, they’d speak out against the disproportionate abortion rates amongst African Americans, and they’d focus on eliminating the destruction that so many African American gang members are wreaking in black communities.
Lemon is, indeed, reporting that on CNN, although I don’t know that he is a “liberal media voice”.
This is a common lie propagated by those who want to encourage race-mixing. The fact is that self-identified White Americans are 98.6% of European descent. Proportions are very likely higher for White people living in Europe. Evidence for miscegenation among non-African American and Hispanic populations is largely non-existent either way, but it is plausible to assume that the vast majority of people are not of mixed ancestry.
It’s a nit-pick of little import. It all falls on how one defines “mixed race”. If you go back far enough, everyone is mixed race, since we’re all descended from a small group of humans living in Africa thousands of years ago. Most real-life rules (even the so-called “one drop” rule) about race do not capture ancestors so distant int he past that we don’t even know who they are.
Plus, we expect the Identical Ancestor point is, at most, 15k years ago.
The white pages website is notoriously inaccurate, when it comes to current and past locations and even relationships.
It’s probably the same thing that messes up marketing mailing lists.
I haven’t lived with my parents for 25 years, nor I have I lived in the town where I grew up.
Fifteen years ago, my parents moved across the country.
Ten years ago, I bought my own house, again in a town other my hometown.
Guess what? I get (junk) mail here addressed to my father. So I just did a search on his name on white pages. Yep, they have him listed as living in my current town, when he hasn’t as much as spent a night here.
D’Anconia, does Shaun King’s birth certificate say he is white?
That’s also a nit-pick of little import. It lists both his parents as white, so that’s the same thing as listing him as white.
You cannot possibly be serious. You are adding one and one and coming up with banana.
The evidence continues to dribble in that (like Dolezal) physiologically he’s a racially white person pretending to be racially mixed/black. Like Dolezal he took a plum academic opportunity historically reserved for black candidates. He has also (it appears) conflated his one on one high school childhood fight into an epic hate crime beat down by a crowd of racists. And like Dolezal he is trying to finesse and avoid the question of his ethnicity instead of answering questions about it directly.
So… assuming he’s a white guy pulling a Dolezal what are you going to do now? He got away with it for quite some time. Does Black Lives Matter make him walk the plank or forgive and embrace him?
What’s wrong with race-mixing?
Not seeing much legs on this story, at this point. I’ve had CNN on in the background for least 1/2 hour and no mention of it yet.
The CNN article did say that SK would address this issue directly later today, so maybe we all wait until we hear from the guy.
No, it lists the parents’ names and ages, not race. But:
- Shaun King admits his mother is white.
- The father listed on the birth certificate is also white according to this article’s mug shot.
I think it will make your proton pack explode… no… wait
But we were assured, early in this thread, that the reports were “complete horseshit” and “utter bullshit” by some of the best and brightest people on the internets.
Now it’s on CNN. Is the report still bullshit?
My bad. I thought someone had published a copy of his BC with both his parents’ race listed as white.
You do realize that 98.6% is not 100%, right? You literally just flat out showed proof of the position you are trying to contradict.
Your position is also absolutely impossible since lighter skin would have never evolved if the first lighter skinned person didn’t progreate with a darker skinned person. We are the same species, after all, which means we had a common ancestor.
Shaun King can make a quick $25K - all he has to do is do a presser with his black father.
(post shortened)
So it turns out that Shaun King is a habitual liar, and he’s conned Oprah out of a scholarship that should have gone to someone else.
I would have thought that the dailykos would do a better job of screening the people who work for them. Maybe they don’t care who represents them?
This silly movement is based on lies. They do not care about black lives. If they did, they’d focus on the improprieties that are factually imposed on African Anericans: disproportionate abortion rates, and gang members killing children, while terrorizing neighborhoods.
I’m from the south side of Chicago. I see this first hand. I’m guessing your environment is far more disconnected; hence your lack of understand on said subject.
