Is Stephen Hicks correct in his arguing that the Nazis were strand of Socialism

I’m not quite convinced by Stephen Hick’s argument that the Nazis were just a strand of socialism. If so I hope someone can give me a cogent argument to either back up or demolish Stephen Hick’s argument.

The Truth About the Nazis with Stephen Hicks

How Socialist Were the Nazis?

What’s his argument? Because I’m not going to watch his videos and generate views for him to find out.

The short answer is no, though, as evidenced in part by their violent suppression of actual socialists, among others.

The primary feature of socialism is social ownership of the means of production. Since Germany had tons of private enterprises, and the people had no say in the government, I’d say no.

Now, if socialism is defined as “things I don’t like” or “things I want to demonize”, then sure!

@Octagon; If you feel compelled to link to videos like this, please provide a lot more information about the views you want to discuss.

But be careful with wild theories about Nazis, there is a lot of room for offense.
