Is That TB Guy The Biggest Asshole Ever, Or What?

I think the space-time continuum just collapsed. VCO3 is now concerned about people’s health?

:: Tweet! :: Offsides for gratutious personal attack!

He actually makes a really good point. This time.

Biggest asshole? Hardly. Assholes, at least, have their uses.

No it doesn’t.

I’m thinking some money changed hands here. In any event, this is one agent who should be looking for a job on Monday, if not a lawyer. Too bad he can’t hire TB Andy.

Looks like he will be.

Bosda, a number of companies take out life insurance on employees who, according to actuary tables, may kick short-term. It almost makes me want to check on who has insurance policies on Chief Idiot & his new wife.

And, perhaps, who has invested recently in biomedical security concerns, using the old ‘follow the money’ approach.

PPS- Sorry, but I left my Hunchback to sign other people’s timesheets while I found new cheese…

it’s a growing tradition in upper-middle class, suburban Atlanta - if you’re getting married it’s your 'special day," and you’r entilted to sociopathology

OMG! I just saw this article (linked in this thread) which states he knew he had TB in January! That changes things, he knew the tests were due back at any time, and instead of waiting to be sure he didn’t have XDR-TB, he left the country, against the CDC’s recommendations! (Though he tells it differently, I don’t buy it.) Note the defiant expression on the new Bride’s face, what litte of it you can see.

Oh come on now. Surely you don’t mean to do something as ridiculous as interject fact and logic into another SDMB RO Meltdown Special? Heck, if the hive paid attention to these inconvenient facts, where would all that ranting and frothing go?

 Right back at you. So, care to enlighten the stupid mob as to how the TB epidemic happened, and why people had the quip “TB, or not TB? That is the queston!” as well as sanitariums not that long ago relatively speaking? :dubious: If there were no risk of another epidemic, the CDC would not have quarentined him, nor would that other fellow be in a prison hospital to ensure he takes his medicine!

God, what a sanctimonious shrew you are! You never have anything of substance to say in a Pit thread; you just cannot resist the urge to come in and thread-shit from your delusional pedestal, once again insulting everyone in the conversation (“the hive”) while contributing absolutely nothing of use or substance.

Your trolling for attention – even negative attention is better than none! – would be as aggravating as it was initially, if it hadn’t been made so transparent and sad by repetition. Learn a new trick, little pony.

Wacky facts like:

I notice, that this time they are standing up not for a member of this message board, but for someone who showed a narcisstic disregard for the health of others on an international scale. Are they trying to mix things up a bit, and make it seem as though they aren’t a broken record? It isn’t working from what I can see.

Perhaps QG could start giving pit threads a numerical rating. It’s been a month or two since we’ve had anyone to do that.

So, to get back on topic, how likely do you think the new bride is to have the same strain of TB? Do you think the in-laws might also have it as well? What about his family and friends, and co-workers? He went from January to now carrying on as normal, with XDR-TB.

Well, it’s impossible to say whether she got it from him or came into the relationship with it, but the bottom line is, I can’t see anyone hooking up with this guy who isn’t suffering from Terminal Buttheadedness. So I’d say pretty likely.

It’s not to avoid an ‘epidemic’ but to keep him away from people who may have compromised immune systems because his is a more difficult type of TB to treat.

I’m not saying the guy did a good thing, but it’s not one of those TV Scary Disease Movie cases. You do realize that there’s about 14,000 cases of TB in the US per year, right?

Go fuck yourself.

70% of the people that get this die. I’m guessing that isn’t taking into account the people in countries with much worse healthcare than ours. Heck, we HAVE a CDC.

TB wasn’t that long ago. There is an old TB hospital still standing, it is currently being used as a jail.

This guy hopped continents, flew with a No Fly order, he is our basic pandemic waiting to happen. We are extremely lucky it wasn’t something like an Ebola strain.

Then again, I’m guessing you think the CDC is over-reacting.

Seriously, go the fuck away.

And this is reason to come in and fire both barrels at anyone who had posted to this topic, using broad sweeping generalizations to dimiss everyone in, and out of the topic? :dubious: Even now, your tone is quite highhanded and dismissive. I take umbrage at your tone.

As far as the stats/facts you presented, cite please, so that I might read them from a voice that isn’t proclaiming from on high.
