Lately, whenever I hit the back arrow key one the Dope it doesn’t work right.
I have to click it 3 or 4 times before the page goes back to the previous one.
I guess it could be my computer but the Dope is the only place it does this on.
Nope, using FF12 and IE8 on a Win7 machine.
Not currently having the problem.
One thing that does this, when the page load it loads ads, and the ads add steps in the browser history. Hitting back button once goes back 1 step, so the page reloads the ad. You don’t see a change.
Go to the back arrow and right click (in IE, or the dropdown box in Firefox, or whatever the list is in your own browser) and see if that is the issue.
Someone else in another thread a while back mentioned a different problem that was I think Google Chrome issue.

Yes! I was using IE8, but the problem was so pervasive, I now only read the Straight Dope using Firefox, where it doesn’t happen.
