I’m aware of that. I’m just pointing out that the US wasn’t entirely blameless in the circumstances leading up to WWII, and the “We saved your asses in WWII!” argument often overlooks that.

That’s silly, though. If I am being an asshole and because of that you decide to stop dealing with me, I can’t blame my being an asshole on your refusal to deal with me.
