Lamoral:
Oh, there’s been a hell of a lot of discussion and conjecture all over the internet trying to figure that out. As best as anyone can tell, it…possibly …comes from a John Wayne movie, though that’s as far as that line of inquiry goes, nobody has been able to point to a specific line in a specific movie.
Whatever the hell it is, it’s clearly some kind of idiosyncratic in-joke that only exists in Biden’s mind or among his inner circle. Those kind of references are better off not being deployed at public events, because nobody will know what it means and it just sounds fucking weird.
My hate for Biden has gradually been reduced to sympathy. I’ve seen and heard him enough at this point to know that he’s probably a decent guy with a big heart - but a very weak candidate.
That’s what I’m thinking, a lot of people have inside jokes or you had to be there moments.
‘That should never happen’ means nothing to anyone except those who were in my high school band.
‘Julius Caesar was a Greek god’ means nothing to anyone except if you worked at my previous job.
The dog faced pony stuff is probably an inside joke on the Biden campaign and that’s where it should have stayed.

Can we get a do over and pretend it’s been Dr Jill running the entire time?

Now he’s left New Hampshire entirely and pinned his hopes (apparently) on SC.
My confident predictions about who will get the Democratic nod are following their usual arc from settled certainty thru confusion to WTF.

18 days until SC. He could have a lot of gaffes in that time frame.
After the New Hampshire debate, Biden gave a speech in South Carolina. I am not up on who is predicted to get the nomination if they do well in Iowa and New Hampshire, and someone else only does okay (or worse), and what that person’s chances are if he then wins South Carolina, etc etc etc. But Biden said something in the aforementioned speech that struck me, which was something like 95% of the black community hasn’t even voted yet. Biden has huge support in that community. On this board, no one is much talking about him, me included, and those who I see on the cable shows aren’t giving him much of a chance. I myself was pretty much counting him out above due to his age. I’m not so sure I should have done that.

He had huge support with the white community until he didn’t. I kept thinking it was a mile wide and an inch deep, but the polls kept proving me wrong. And then Biden collapsed in the most spectacular fashion, making Jeb Bush look like The Incredible Hulk. So, how much of Biden’s black support is the same way?
I don’t know. But I do think there’s just a lot of Dems of all races who just want Obama back.

Hey, since he got vindicated on Benghazi, that means he can run for a third term, right?
I mean, it’s also true that 95% of the white community hasn’t voted yet, so…
If he wins SC that won’t matter much. If he gets spanked in a lot of states on March 3rd he should quit and probably will.

Rumors all over Twitter that Biden gets that stupid culinary union endorsement in Nevada.
It’s Twitter, take it for what it’s worth.
I love how we whine about Iowa and NH but then allow one union in NV to have so much power.

reminds me of the old saying about moving the deck chairs around on the Titanic.
