Is the election Obama's to lose? (August 2011)

I never said he was the worst president in recent history. I believe it was more along the lines of the worst president in US history. Sorry for any confusion.

As for who would be a better POTUS? Well that’s easy… who’s going to be running?

Ahem.

I meant that as a bad thing. “Dear Leader” is more of the same.

So, it’s your position that he’s the worst in all of US history, but that he’s not the worst in recent history?

Well, I haven’t seen any evidence that you have the credibility to make such a judgement, so maybe you could drop the snark and speak to other people as if they were, you know, people, rather than some cartoon image of political opponents you seem to have in your head.

Sorry, no sale. I think you already have some idea who has declared for the Republican nomination, and I don’t believe, at this point, that would-be demagogues such as Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann would properly serve the country’s interest. Presumably you are here for some other reason than to bray partisan slogans, and actually want to convince someone that your views are correct. So, let’s hear in what ways you think they would improve on the performance of the current President, or address any other issue you care to name.

Um, no. I was simply correcting the misquote. You seem to confuse easily, I’ll try to be more clear in the future.

I seriously doubt you will get the chance.

I believe **my **judgments are **mine **to make. Not yours. And when people treat me like a person I treat them like a person. Go back and look at any reply I’ve made and you won’t find one where I’ve been snarky without someone being snarky first. And if you do find one, I’ll be happy to apologize about it because that’s not my intention.

Perry is no different than Dear Leader. He will likely be ushered in front of the Rupugs like he’s God’s gift to the Office of the President when in reality I’d be willing to be the same people will be filling his teleprompter are the ones currently filling Dear Leader’s.

Perry is a Republican Slick Willy. Nothing more. He will continue down the path of ever-expanding government both nationally and internationally. He’ll push to let the UN intrude into our lives just as the federal government does with matters that are Constitutionally left up to the states.

And I’m not here to convince anyone that my opinions are correct, only that they are mine. If that bugs you that’s not my problem. I’ll continue to ask (stupid?) questions and giggle at some of the responses.

I’ll also try to be a little more factual with my posts, or at least point out that it is my “opinion”. And again, I’ll giggle at some of the responses.

You know that you just got moderated about nonsense barbs like Dear Leader, right?

OK, so not only are you not going to defend your assertions, you are going to directly contradict them from one post to the next. Got it.

I believe this was the first reference I made to Perry…? How did I contradict myself?

You said that anyone who was running would be better than Obama, then you said that someone who’s running is no different from him.

Dear Leader? What happened to The One?

I need a scorecard.

Ahh, I sit corrected. My sincerest apologies. Let me clarify then…

Anyone who is running against him is better than him, except the likes of Perry, Romney and Bachaman, who would likely be no different than Obama.

Hmm, you’re right. That’s very contradictory. Let’s leave it at Anyone but Obama. Or Perry. Or Romney or Bachman.

LoL, the Repugs are effed. Perry and Romney are prolly the only one’s the GOP will put up.

So, Herman Cain or Rick Santorum, then?

How about Palin instead? Or Paul. Yeah, Paul. He’ll turn around the Big Government Machine and at least try to get US headed back to the Constitution before he dies.

I knew it!

(My post is my cite.)

Since you’re new to this game, I’ll explain it to you: Citing Rasmussen is a highly reliable way to get laughed at by the reality-based community.

Ah, gotcha. So when you said “anyone who’s running”, it just never occurred to you to consider any of the top three contenders. I understand; it’s easy to overlook them.
