Just curious. If I encrypt a WordPerfect or Word document file can the government break it with ease or not?
I haven’t used WordPerfect since the DOS days, but Word’s encryption is not unbreakable. There are utilities that will generate a password that works (which doesn’t have to be the original password, just one that has the same hash as the original). To the best of my knowledge, none of them are free, but if you really have to unlock a document, the cost might be worth it.
