Some one heard it on the radio today that the NYT is reducing its number of pages per issue.

Does anyone have any more on this, such as what they’re going to cut out?

No.
They’re reducing the page size and increasing the number of pages.
New York Times to Reduce Page Size

The reduction in the size of The Times will mean a loss of five percent of the space the paper devotes to news. If the paper only reduced the size of its pages, it would lose 11 percent of that space, but the paper will add pages to make up for some of the loss.

Don’t know about the NYT but the KNS has noticeably reduced the number of pages of news content and there are more and more full page ads in the news and features sections. More ads, more revenue, less text, less expense, and the delivered rates increase periodically oftener that ever before.
