Is the wine in the bible really grape juice?

I, too, have heard the claim by some preachers and believers that Biblical wine was non-alcoholic. One preacher literally shouted that the wine Jesus made was new wine, meaning, I guess, that it had not yet had time to ferment?

The following verses in the Bible say it’s okay to drink wine and some even recommend geting intoxicated from time to time:

Judges 9:13 “Wine, which cheereth God and man.” (God drinks?)

Psalm 104:15 “Wine that maketh glad the heart of man.”

Proverbs 31:6-9 “Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.”

John 2:3-10 (Jesus at the wedding.)

1 Timothy 5:23 “Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake.” (Because the local water wasn’t fit to drink…?)

Reality Chuck mentions Dr. T.B. Welch pasteurizing grape juice in 1869 (in Concord, Mass. BTW). Where do you think Dr. Welch advertised his goods? In religious magazines.
His product was ment (and marketed) to replace the wine used in communion.
