Is there a DVD chapter-stop library out there?

My local Hollywood Video store sells previously viewed DVDs at discount prices (as do others).

This store has an annoying tendency to throw away the booklets so when you buy the used DVD you only get the disk and the clamshell case with artwork.

Now I know I can keep a pen and paper handy and write down chapter stops but this is a pain-in-the-ass.

I’ve tried to find online resources to help me but the search results are overwhelming and after an hour I usually give up.

So, does anyone out there know of such a resource where I can get a list of chapter stops from DVD “title X”, so I can print my own insert cards?

Quasi-bump.

OK, I’ll settle for the chapter stop lists for Juassic Park 3 and Moulin Rouge, so if anyone owns these DVDs…help!!

I bought them both used from Hollywood Video for my daughter and as I said in my OP, they lack inserts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

When I’ve needed chapter lists, I’ve pulled them from Barnes & Noble. Look up your DVD, and click on the “scene index” link.

Here is the page for JP3 and here is the page for Moulin Rouge.

You are the best! This is exactly what I need.

A million thanks.

Umm… doesn’t a chapter stops sub-menu become immediately available when the DVD main menu pops up? A DVD booklet is kind of superfulous isn’t it?

Sometimes booklets are superfluous. But a lot of DVDs have IMHO real shitty menus where they show you a snapshot from a chapter with no other info; and they show just 4 at a time; so if you want to jump to somewhere in the middle of the movie you have to maneuver through several screens worth of crap to do it.

With the stops (and meaningful titles) in hand, I can look at a list in one glance, see that aha it was chapter 20 where the car chase was, and jump directly to it without navigating the menus.

In fact I find the majority of scene access menus to be crap (at least in the 100 or so movies I own.
