Please say of there is any free or commissioned service to crawl the web for a product based on a item number like a Disk Drive and a price less than or equal to a given amount.
I have looked at Search Engine watch and not been able to understand much of it.
Also remind me how to auto set my profile for Instant Email notifications
I would guess not as even Amazon is not always perfect in its “Items that were also ‘investigated’ by others who looked at this object.” and this is just for their own website.
But I will put in a plug for Camelcamelcamel which allows email notifications whenever an item drops below your selected value.
pcpartpicker.com will e-mail you when a certain product drops below a certain price. It is pretty slick. It won’t buy it automatically though.

Oddly enough, a day ago I saw a copy of the latest **New Scientist **at a friends, and it had a column on a German University team with a shopping bot with a weekly $100 limit trawling the Dark Web.
The purposeful limit keeps them safe from buying anything interesting.
