Just curious. Never tasted an unpasturized beer that I know of, as all my beer drinking has been done in the US. Are they really better somehow?
As a homebrewer, all of my the beer that I make is unpasteurized. Pasteurization is to deactivate certain enzimes (say in the case of sake to kill the amelase) and to kill the yeast. However most modern industrial brews are micron filtered to remove the yeast anyway.
Is the taste difference signifcant? In my case, yes. In most, no
