Is there a SIMPLE music notation utility online

Preferably free, of course.

Here’s the situation: I can sing, but I can’t play a mechanical musical instrument. I can compose a song for singing, but then I have to hand it off to someone with some musical skills to figure out how to put a chord progression to it, so I can be accompanied.

I’ve written a little jingle-type song that I would like to have put into basic music notation. Just the vocal line, please. I’m not going to be able to use a product that insists on my knowing how to write notation for piano. I’d pick up some manuscript paper and just do it by hand but honestly, my handwriting is atrocious. Worse than prescription pad atrocious.

The utility should ideally also have a “help” menu, so I can figure out how to operate it if I get stuck.

Does anyone know if such an online utility exists?

Thanks very much for any assistance.

Noteworthy Composer works for me. It’s not entirely free, but the trial version gives you ten saves for every new song you create, plenty for getting melodies on paper. MIDI playback, several instruments, visualization - it’s fun to play with and I’ve used it to write scores with a lot of patience and simply not shutting the program down.
