"Is there a story..." Spring 2010 issue

Come on. You know that there’s something you’ve always wondered if there was a book or short story about. Here’s the thread to ask your questions in. Don’t be shy!

To make things orderly, why don’t we number our queries? There probably won’t be too many simu-posts, but I guess we can live with it if there are. To kick things off, I have two “is there” questions of my own, so everyone else’s questions would be 3+.

  1. Is there a science-fiction story where a Day Trader isn’t someone who trades stocks, but trades actual days? Their clients use the day trader to exchange days with a third party in hopes that both would end up with a better day than the one they were supposed to have?

  2. Shakespeare is often refered to as “The Immortal Bard” - and to get it out of the way this isn’t a question about the Asimov story of that title - but is there a story with this being a literal description of Shakespeare? I’d imagine that would mean that as man, (demi)god, or vampire he’s been alive since the mid-1500s.
