Is there a surplus of Dental Assistants?
I was thinking about a second career…

The only thing I can say on the subject is that about 5 yrs ago, a friend of mine when to dental hygienist school and had a hard time finding a job. When she did, it was made clear she could be easily replaced. She also only managed to end up working for asshole dentists. She’s now a home health care worker.
That’s a start.
I can’t say if there’s a surplus but there are a lot of people with certification already, and the schools are filled. I think there are jobs open because many people don’t last long in the position.
I didn’t know that assholes have teeth, but learn a new thing every day I guess. :rolleyes:
