Is there a way to do reverse lookup on UPC codes, to find what it was?

I have receipts that I let pile up and then when I have to get reimbursed I can’t figure out what they were for.
I have the UPC code on the receipt, but the description is too vague.

(Lately I had one that said “white standard” which I have no clue what it is. Something at Office Max. Paper? Whiteout? Wastebasket? Storage boxes?)

Yep.

I’d be surprised if the receipt had actual UPC codes on it. More likely, you’re looking at the store’s SKU numbers.

You may be able to plug those numbers into Office Max’s website search box and get results.

I’ve seen many with UPC numbers printed on them. Receipts from Staples have them, for example. Which makes returns a pain in the ass, but there you have it.

They are UPC’s all right. I know the difference. Many products I can confirm once I recall what it was, but not if I tossed the wrapper.

Q.E.D. Thanks for that site.

My example, 071691220626 was not listed there, but by jumping into the list I found the nearest number which was a Rubbermaid Multi-Purpose shelf 11x48. And I did buy a shelf that was 11x36, so that would be the match.

Just Googling the UPC will work most of the time. It’s what the smartphone scanner apps do.
