That’s different, it’s just Apple sharing it over WiFi. This a standalone cell phone plan with the same number.
I bet there a ring APP that has a car horn, that’s really loud.
But, the OPs MMV.
These sorts of threads lead me to wonder what people mean by “land line”. Not too long ago it meant a phoneline operated by the phone company.
But now (for some time) people also refer to VOIP phones as land lines—even if they don’t use a landline (are WiFi, for example).
What do you folks consider to be “landline”?
I’m making a note of this and the date you posted it in my little book.
Yeah, exactly. I have both, the cell-enabled Watch and the wifi calling on my network. I just mean that as an example of how a call to one single number can ‘ring’ multiple Apple devices.
Honestly not being a dick, but why not just keep it in a pocket? Problem solved.
I don’t put it in my shirt pocket ever because it weighs too much for a shirt pocket. And when it’s in the front pocket of my jeans and I’m sitting down, it’s both uncomfortable and hard to dig out. And the back pocket even more so.
ETA: Anyway, there seems to be a low-cost solution that works for me, where the tech adapts to me rather than the other way around.
I wear sorta snug pants. When I sit down at home, in the car, in a restaurant, whatever, the phone comes out first & rests on the table, chair arm, car phone holder, lap, etc while I sit.
Before I stand, I pick up my phone. Once I’m vertical it goes in my pants pocket.
Lather rinse repeat. Everywhere every time.
Same w car keys and reading glasses when I have them with me.
