I’ve got a house that’s large enough that I can’t hear my cell phone from one end to the other - especially with closed doors.
I charge my phone in the bedroom, but sometimes I forget. I get far too many work-related calls in the middle of the night (got to love being on call 24/7). Sometimes, like last night, I’ll forget the phone in the kitchen and will sleep through a call from a client.
Is there something I can get for the phone or the house or both that will let me put a couple “devices” in the house that will ring whenever the cell phone rings? I don’t care about anything except knowing when the thing is ringing so I can wake up and go answer the damned thing.
Do you have a land line in the house? I have all my cellphone calls forwarded to my land line when I am at home, so they ring on all the extensions in my house. I even have distinctive ring, so I can tell the difference.
How about a bluetooth headset - assuming your phone supports bluetooth and assuming you can find a headset capable of the necessary range (some are ~10m, others, ~100m)
It’s possible to get a second cell phone, and set it to the same phone number. Than keep 1 charging in the kitchen and 1 charging in the bedroom. That also gives you a spare if you ever need it.
But depending on the specific receiver you have, it may be expensive to get a second one.
