So Media Player doesn’t recognize Ipod- f*** you Microsoft. Couldn’t you allow the two to work together, seeing as many use them?
Anyway, is there a way to get the file from MPlayer to Itunes so as to put on my Ipod? I can’t drag the file there, upload the file there (because it can’t find it, because it won’t detect it- b/c it’s a mediaplayer file, I would guess?)

Not Sure what the rest of your post were about but…
The Ipod does not support the WMA file format. It does support MP3, AAC, RA (Real Audio) and WAV. The fact that the Ipod doesn’t support WMA is the fault of Apple*, not Micorsoft. WMA stands for Windows Media Audio, a format Microsoft came up with (or possibly bought).
There are WMA to MP3 converters out there though I do not know how well they work. Convert the files to a format that the Ipod likes. You can Google for converters.
You are blaming the wrong company.

*I found a site stating that the Apple and HP were working on having an IPOD capable of playing WMA files by mid-year in 2004. Can’t seem to find out what happened to that idea. It is possible (but I don’t think it is likely) that MS refused to license the WMA format to Apple.
Slee, exactly right. Apple is definitelly responsible for screwing the consumers in this case. I read that Apple also refused to work with Real to make Realplayer compatible with it, and when Real went ahead on their own and made their latest Beta iPod compatible, Apple decided to alter their future iPod software so that RealPlayer will no longer work with iPods.
I personally am trying to figure out what I should buy (either an MP3 player or a PDA that plays mp3’s), and that particular scumbag move decided me against the iPod.
