I have one of those cheap virtual reality helmets that functions basically like an old-timey stereoscope, only with your smart phone. It produces neither true 3D nor true Virtual Reality, but the concept is the same.
YouTube has a function that allows you to watch videos in “3D” with those helmets. Netflix does not appear to have that functionality built in to the mobile app. Is there an app I can download to “cheat” the Netflix videos to do the same thing?
I belie e there are apps that simulate a theater. But ey won’t add 3D. That either requires 3D video to start with, or for for if to have been automatically converted by an experimental technology. This does not happen in real time–it’s up tot the website to convert the videos and offer them.
YouTube did this to test their experimental tech. Netflix doesnt, and would piss off the movie owners if they did–3D is the big reason they use to get you to watch in the theater.
