Is there an easy stitch program for photographs?

I used to have a program to stitch together several pictures(used for putting more than one picture at eBay but not wanting to pay for the extra ones)

For instance…take a pic of front of a book…title page…back and stitch them all together to make one picture

I USED to have a program that did this quickly and easily but for the love of God I cannot remember what it’s called or where I got it

I know Photoshop can do this but it’s very cumbersome to do it with layers

The most aggravating thing is…I still have the program on my old computer but I don’t have it hooked up right now and am too lazy to do so…so I just spent an hour Googling my butt off trying to find the stitch program

My other tower is right here by the new one mocking me…it knows if you don’t help me I will have to give in and connect it up

Help me avoid the humiliation

The only “stitching” programs I’ve used are for creating panoramas. The program finds matching adjacent areas in the photos and blends them together. Not what you want to do.

You can do what you want in Microsoft Photo Editor, Microsoft PictureIt, PaintShop Pro, Adobe Photo Elements, and of course Photoshop. Can even do it in Powerpoint.

Just make a blank image of the size you want and copy/paste the photos into it. Might want to do some resizing and cropping first.

For anyone who happened across this thread and had no idea of what program to suggest…I found my old program

It has a nice little button just for stitching…my life just got a lot easier

I just thought I’d post it here in case anyone else has had the same problem I was having

Canon has one called PhotoStitch, which comes bundled with many of its consumer-level digital cameras. If you know someone with a Canon Digital Elph, or whatnot, they should have a copy of the program. Works pretty well.

I have heard this free one works pretty good but I haven’t tried it.

MSPAINT is free with Windows and will do that and more.

Another trick would be to display them side by side on the screen and do a screen capture.

My apologies, Tommi, but I didn’t read your OP carefully enough. The program I suggested will not do what you want. I assumed you needed a panorama-type thing.

It’s not that cumbersome in Photoshop. I just make a big ol’ canvas, paste the three (or however many) photos into it, flatten images, crop and voila.

OK, maybe that does sound complicated. But it’s not…really!

Don’t worry pulykamell…I investigated those type of programs like you suggested but I had gotten used to the way Photo Impact does the stitch thing

Sure if someone had come up with a good alternative before I figured out what my old stitch program was I would of tried it

But you know how it is…once you get used to how one program works the replacement better be a LOT better otherwise it’s just not worth the trouble to learn the new one

BTW I was surprised when you plug into Google “stitch pictures” pretty much all you get back that is in the least relevant is the types of programs you suggested for making panoramic views of photos

The reason you get those results is because “stitching” generally refers to putting together elements of a larger, continuous photo.
I’ve never heard it used to refer to what you describe, although I don’t think by definition it’d be incorrect.
