Continuing my mad research quest into the early-mid-18th-century, I thought Diderot & Co.'s Encyclopedie would be a really good way to see what the “state of the art” was for culture and many arts and sciences at that time. Trouble is, I can barely read a word of French. Is there a good English translation of the whole thing out there?
