The ingredients are usually just menthol and/or methylsalicylate. The only difference seems to be the concentrations and the application method (patches, gel, cream, spray, etc).
Does it matter which one you get? Is there any meaningful difference or it is like choosing between 10 different forms of tylenol, no real difference? If so, why is biofreeze seemingly so popular if the ingredients are the same as the other stuff?
Are non-Rx OTC NSAID creams available in the US? I’ve seen tubes of ibuprofen and diclofenac cream but I think those are prescription.
