Say I want some information about a particular short story from one author. Their current Wikipedia page has no such information, but they have a history thousands of edits long. I figure it’s likely at some point in the past somebody put information about that story, somebody else refined it, and then somebody else deleted it but with so many edits it’s not worth searching through to see if I can find that sweet spot where info on what I want is actually present, if it even exists. Is there any way to search through all pages of a Wikipedia page’s history looking for mention of a particular term?
Noe that I’m aware of. If you look at the list of edits you can see how many bytes were added or deleted by that edit. Look for a large deletion and check the edit before that and you might strike it lucky though.
Yes. Do a search using WikiBlame.
Won’t that only work if you have a specific string to search for? The name of the story might work I guess.
How else would you search for something?
