Not always, I participated in some Wiccan/Pagan rituals there and drum circles. Very heavy on the magic, in fact. Not to mention the devout Christians…
Okay, I’ll bite… why would any “devout Christians” sit still for Wicca practices???
Come for the curses, stay for the potluck. ![]()
Yeah, I’m an atheist and I used to visit a Unitarian church on rare occasions. (Usually when I was feeling lonely or in a “blah” kind of mood.)
I really liked the pastor (or priest?) there. He always had some interesting stories to tell and boy was he ever funny!!
I always walked out of there in a better mood.
Speaking as a Catholic, I must admit, the OP’s question is baffling.
I mean, I’d have thought that, if there was ONE advantage to atheism, it would be that you DIDN’T have to attend weekly rituals!!!
I mean, if you don’t believe in God, then sleep late! Go play golf! Go fishing! Whstever makes you happy. But DON’T throw away the baby and then go searching for good bathwater!!!
Have you checked out the Buddhists? Our local Tibetan Buddhist center is like that.
What I meant was that there were magical Wiccans and magical Christians in attendance and members of the same church, but anybody and everybody could participate in each others chosen worship. There was a sense of well, universal unity, dare I say.
Not to mention Jews, Hindus, and Muslims…
