Have you tried the Baseball Fever board on the Baseball Almanac site? It’s pretty small but has topics on a lot of subjects from Trivia to Negro Leagues to Coaching Fundamentals and, of course, a topic for all of the major league teams. Even during the heat of post-season play most of the people posting in their rival’s threads have either serious discussions/questions or good-natured ribbing.
