As an American, are there any good deals worth looking into?
If you have any hard-to-buy-for ladies on your Holiday gift list, the finest gloves I have ever owned came from here: https://www.dents.co.uk/shop/ladies-gloves/
This thread made me remember the classic British Brigg umbrellas, so I checked them out. Wuff! They’re still very expensive, even with the current exchange ratio. Beautiful and well-made, though.
They make the best folding bicycles in the world, IMHO.
Lewis Hamilton’s contract, maybe.
It would cost a ton to see Hamilton in New York, but when it comes to London (Late 2017) tickets are being pre-sold for a lot less.
It would be worth it to fly to London just for the play.

Pounds.
They’ll bounce back.
You could buy my house. It’s been for sale for over 6 months :-/

Cashmere sweaters.
I can see that. I expect the play will be of less interest to non-Americans.
I’d think it would only come into play on stuff you’d directly import yourself. Most things retailed in the US aren’t likely to change price; someone (probably the importer) along the way will just buy cheaper and sell for the same price as they did before.
So your bottle of Scotch will cost you the same, but the US importer will realize greater income from importing them cheaper due to exchange rate differences…
The reason I started this thread is there is a UK site that sells cosmetics and offers free shipping, and I noticed the prices were about 30% lower than normal. So I figured what other good deals are there.
Some real nice glassware:
You can pre-order the Pink Floyd Early Years Boxed Set on Amazon UK for £375.99 ($457.39) vs $571.36 on Amazon in the USA.
