Is there significant functional difference between sleeping through the night and napping?

The study specifies “midday” naps; I’m assuming that we could probably draw similar inferences for the circumstances in my OP as well (although that apparently wasn’t tested for)? I’ll also have to look to see their definition of “frequent.”

Well with the bedtime you specify, 2 am, four hours later than many bedtimes, a 7 to 9 pm nap (then up 5 hours before going to sleep) seems “mid day” ish?

Like a 3 to 5 pm nap going to sleep at 10?
