Is this a joke? (Picture on Roger Ebert home page)

He’s holding his hands in such a way that the “frame” is tall and narrow; whenever I’ve seen another director do this, their hands are 90 degrees rotated.

I like it. It looks like an arty-farty version of “I’M CRUSHING YOUR HEAD!!!”

The rotation is part of the joke because Ebert knows full well the correct way to do it.
