Watching the opening Red Sox/A’s series in Japan, I’ve noticed both teams wearing small ads on their uniforms.
This is a disgusting practice that I hope ends immediately. Unfortunately, in HD, the ads are quite visible on television.
Didn’t Bud learn anything from the Spiderman fiasco a couple of years ago?
This is probably a “when in Rome” move. Everytime I see Japanese players, they always have ads on their uniforms.
If the sleeve ads are anathema to you, don’t ever watch a professional soccer game.
This happens everytime the US teams visit Japan. MLB offices via a radio interview with Selig on WFAN, is aware that MLB fans are not receptive to the idea of their beloved players and uniforms taking that first horrible step down the path that leads to the atrocity known as Nascar Uniforms.
