While surfing the net, I came across this web page. As you can see, it purports to tell the Bush family’s sordid history. Is this thing completely accurate?
I wasn’t sure at first which section to put it under on the SDMB. But please keep in mind that this is a question of the veracity of this web page, and not just another anti-Bush debate (although granted I am not one of his biggest fans;) ).
Well the stuff about Prescott stealing Geronimo’s skull is unverified and, as recent events have demonstrated, directors of corporations can be quite “unaware” of ethical lapses like their company helping the Nazis.
The stuff about Neil and Noriega and Khomeini and the bin Ladens etc. are as true or as false as you want them to be. The basic facts of the cases are there, the interpretation of them depends on your political bent.
*“documents show that (Bush Sr.) was involved with the CIA at the time of the Kennedy assassination”. True. George Bush was an operative “debriefed” by the CIA immediately after the slaying. The details of what-all he was doing remain quite murky.
*“the Bush Kids never go to prison”. False. Noelle Bush was just released from prison after a protracted two entire days of a three-day sentence for violating the terms of her drug treatment program (you’ll remember that she pretended to be a doctor, and wrote herself a prescription for mellow-pills.)
*“George Bush, Sr. and The Carlyle Group stand to make billions of dollars from the War on Terror.” True and False. Carlyle certainly is making money hand over fist because of this so-called war, but Bush Sr. is not making “billions”, probably just a few paltry millions as the figurehead “consultant” he is.
